Thursday, November 20, 2024 - This is a zoomed-in map of the New Hampshire "52 With A View" - only 13 left (yellow). I'm going to hike Hedgehog Mountain today:
After my Breakfast-in-Boston, I headed NORTH. It is A LOT NICER than one would expect for mid-November:
There was light snow on the ground when I hit the parking lot at 11:30
When I come up from Boston, there are always hikers in front of me, so I just follow their footsteps in the snow:
20 minutes up the trail, the trail splits. I'm going clockwise, so I'll take the left fork:
It is very nice to break out for the view on the East Ledges:
You pass through woods, and over ledges (follow the Yellow Blaze):
I passed some ladies, so I took a picture looking back:
I reached the Summit Ledge at 1:18
A final picture in the sunlight, before I go down the backside of the mountain (in shade):
I finished The Hike at about 2:10 - 4.66 miles in 2 hours 36 minutes:
Very Nice Hike - good to be out in the sunshine! Thank You God for this Wonderful "52 With A View" day!
For my listening pleasure today - a cd of 407 wma files ripped a long time ago:
Brad Mehldau - Places, 2000 album, last heard (in a blog) never. Very nice jazz-trio music:
Robert Plant - Sixty Six to Timbuktu, 2003 greatest hits/compilation album, last heard (in a blog) never - LOTS of Robert Plant (35 songs):
Electric Flag - Old Glory: The Best of Electric Flag, 1995 compilation album, last heard (in a blog) 9/11/2025 - Mike Bloomfield (guitar)/Barry Goldberg (keyboards)/Harvey Brooks (bass)/Buddy Miles (drums)/Nick Gravenites (rhythm guitars, vocals) [Their best album was their first - "A Long Time Comin'", 1968]:
