August's hikes were:
Cannon Mountain is the left green circle,
Mount Hale is the middle green circle,
Mount Flume and Mount Liberty are in the lower green circle,
while today's hike (Mount Lincoln and Mount Lafayette) are in the red square:
Using Map My Walk, I went up the Falling Waters Trail (3.7 miles) to Little Haystack Mountain (not "officially" a 4000 footer), north along the Franconia Ridge Trail (1.0 mile) to Mount Lincoln, continue north along the Franconia Ridge Trail (1.1 miles) to Mount Lafayette, then down the Greenleaf Trail (1.2 miles) to the AMC Greenleaf Hut, then down the Old Bridle Trail (2.9 miles) back to the parking area. I covered 9.9 miles in 5 hours 20 minutes. I covered about 6,900 feet in climbing elevation (3450 up and then back down):
Falling Waters Trail is just that - a wonderful trail going up along, and criss-crossing a number of beautiful streams and waterfalls:
The water was cool and clear - but DO NOT DRINK IT (who knows what may foul it upstream!!)

I don't know if you can make out the blue blazes, but some times the "Trail" went right up the stream!:
about 1/2 mile below the top of the Trail is a side-trail heading south for about 100 yards. It has a "very helpful" sign at the end: TRAIL ENDS HERE
It looks out over Shining Rock. The granite ledge is usually covered with water from springs in the woods above and, seen from the mountains across Franconia Notch, shines like a mirror in the sunlight. Climbing on it is "EXTREMELY DANGEROUS", so don't do it!
Once you get up to Franconia Ridge Trail, Mount Lafayette is 1.7 miles north
and the top of the ridge is pretty cool - very foggy up there today, but not a wet fog:
I hit Little Haystack first, but it is not "officially" a 4000 footer because there is not enough change-in-elevation between it and higher Mount Lincoln. My selfie on Mount Lincoln:

Going down to Greenleaf Hut, the view back the Ridge I walked is pretty cool (the far-right granite outcrop is Shining Rock)
That sure is a lot of walking/hiking - the Rock is about 2 miles away
